I Club My Cat

One day, several years ago, my friend Gill & I were out and about and noticed a car sporting a bumper sticker with the following (endearing & oh-so-clever) message on it:

Gill, horrified, exclaimed, "I *CLUB* MY CAT??!!!"

For a moment, I was confused, both by her vehemence and her response...

I paused for a moment before replying, "Um...yeah...Gill? That's a spade...I *spayed* my cat...."

We still get a good laugh about that one.
